Meet Dezmond Moon
I write queer romance across cozy romance, romcom, urban drama, fantasy, and sci-fi genres; centering transgender, gay, aroace, and polyamorous characters. I believe in love stories where the biggest challenge isn't being queer, it's learning to trust, be vulnerable, and build a life on your own terms. My stories explore non-traditional relationship structures and emotional authenticity, with the goal to create the kind of representation the world needs more of.
When not writing, I can be found wrangling two cats, rolling dice at a D&D table, creating digital art, or reading across every genre I write.

Where to find me:
Substack: dezmondmoon.substack.com
This is for the people who want to see some of my more creative writing experiments. You’ll find anything here from short stories that experiment with some kind of writing style; constrained writing, where I focus on writing something with a specific limitation; versions of my novel The Raven and the Wolf, written in lipogram; and short essays on things I’ve learned about writing that might be useful for other writers to know for improving their craft.

Newsletter: dezmondmoon.kit.com
My author newsletter, which is guaranteed to be sent out on the first of every month, with a bonus mid-month edition if there’s something particularly important happening, such as a book release coming up.
My newsletter will send you things such as updates to novels I’m actively working on (I always seem to have a pile of 4-6), short stories, links to experimental pieces, blog posts, rants about the current state of affairs in literature, favorite books of the month (both the good and the bad), and other creative writing projects.
Listen, I have a list a mile long of writing ideas that I’ll never get to, so if you’re at all interested in seeing how my brain throws ideas at the wall and turns them into wild concepts, this is where you’ll find it.
